Inlays and Onlays

 

Tooth colored restorations can also be constructed in a laboratory. The cavity is prepared in the same way as a composite resin filling and a dental impression is taken. The technician then constructs a tooth colored ‘filling’ which is then bonded into place. These type of restorations are particularly useful when too much of the tooth structure has been lost and a conventional filling is not possible.
